The wealthy who engage in profiteering are congratulated, awarded contracts and permitted advantages and rights that are unattainable and unthinkable for most. The established system of money rewards businessmen for exploiting both the environment and workers (cheap labor). Profit-driven companies are allowed to ruin the environment in the name of helping government make "more jobs." Powerfully rich individuals have said: "greed is good." Alternatively, I think that a different system, unlike the current monetary system -
where greed is not actually good (and in no way, shape or form, beneficial), would encourage much better behavior.
